The Mediterranean city of Alexandria, Egypt is set to be home to Techne Summit, a two-day international technology event that will act as a platform including the main global players in the technology industry. The event will take place from the 24th to the 25th of October 2015 with the slogan of “Technology. Innovation. Talent.”, one that reflects the pillars on which the summit is build, where it will incorporate leading technology professionals, entrepreneurs and startups, investors, users and media representatives and featuring distinguished speakers from around the world.
Techne Summit will be the first of its magnitude in Egypt, characterized by an unprecedented degree of diversity and a global nature novel to the region. The event will present networking opportunities and open up possibilities for various business collaboration between participating parties, particularly those that pertain to growth in the Middle East and Africa region.
The technology community in the region is set for a shake-up with the launch Techne Summit, offering attendees a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn and meet with industry professionals across the technology spectrum from around the world. Techne Summit will be held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a monumental establishment that was built as a commemoration of the ancient Library of Alexandria lost in antiquity, in the Egyptian city of Alexandria founded in 331 BC by Alexander The Great. Techne Summit will bring together on Egypt's north central coastline technology experts and enthusiasts from around the world, blending the new with the old, technology with civilization.

The event is organized by Markade Agency in association with organizing partners Innovideas and Global Shapers Community Alexandria Hub, and is to be held under the auspices of the Governorate of Alexandria. The summit offers a variety of attendance options. “Attendee Tickets” allow full access to all sessions, exhibition and startups area for the full 2 days. “VIP Tickets” gain additional access to backstage lounges with VIP guests and officials. “Startup Tickets” entitle participants to a designated stall, two tickets for the full two days’ activities and pre-set meetings with investors and the media.” “Exhibitor Tickets” grant participants a designated booth to showcase their products as well as additional privileges as per their participation category.
